Mega Darkrai ex Takes the Spotlight
Pitch Black is the fifth English Mega Evolution set, built around Mega Darkrai ex and the darker corners of the Pokémon world. Twinkling city lights give way to shadow as Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex join the fray.
The set is a near 1:1 adaptation of Japan's Abyss Eye expansion, with a handful of cards lifted from Japanese Gym promo sets. At 120 cards it's the smallest set of the Mega Evolution block — which tightens the odds on the cards people actually want.
Why the Pokémon Center Edition?
The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box gives you 11 booster packs instead of 9, and the Zarude full-art promo carries the Pokémon Center logo above the attacks — a distinct card that doesn't exist in the retail edition.
